Congratulations!

We made through the entire LLWS without a thread!

Also, congrats to Chula Vista, CA, for bringing home another US championship.

(Personal congrats to an umpire who worked my LL games, who was assigned to the Big League World Series this year after the LLWS last year.)

That is because I had the Official Little LeagueŽ World Series thread on the "other" forum, in the Small Diamond section, where it belonged, and not over here with the big boy ball discussion.

Congratulations to PARK VIEW LITTLE LEAGUE!!!

You just had to know we wouldn't make it all the way through the LL WS without one, Matt.

Since you started it, I thought the Umpireing in the couple of games I saw was pretty good. I forget what game, but HPU had a very close play at the dish. Tough call but replays showed he got it right. Also the K zones werent as wide as years past.

Did the catcher have 4-foot long arms last year?

Granted, I only watched 5 games this year, but I saw some horrible zones -- all extended outward in every direction.

LLWS is to the point where you know what you'll get coming into it, so when it happens, it's expected. That might be why there wasn't all that much discussion of it here.

They were wide, but not as bad as years past IMO.
