GOOD LORD!!!! $159.00!!!!
Don't joke around with the human heart. At that price, get a Wilson Gold! It can't really be topped. I've tried most of them, and it's the best. And you can get a new one for between $140 and $160. |

I agree with Kevin in principle, though I'd also suggest taking a look at the Wilson Platinum. Both the Platinum and Gold provide excellent protection and the cost is about the same. It really comes down to a matter of fit.

Agreed.
You can get a Gold or Platinum from Jim Kirk at Ump-attire.com for a little less. Can't go wrong with either of these products. Umpire Chest Protectors: Wilson, Diamond and Pro Nine: Ump Attire |

The All-Star CPU28PRO is better protection, even though it doesn't have a zipper front:
For those of us who don't like (or are boycotting) West Vests!

That reminds me...when I questioned the guy at +POS about the $142 price tag on the high top plate shoes, he responded that he can't compete with the lower prices of all the foreign-made plate shoes like NB and Reebok, as their stuff is USA made.

You may be right, Tim. I took a few hard shots off the chest that rebounded half way to the mound and never felt a thing. I think I'm still going to go with the new CPU30 from All-Star. It's pretty sweet.
