Hey guys, I don't post here much, but saw your comments about the next gen reebok. Midwest ump did a review on his blog with a pic of it. Here it is:

I knew I saw it somewhere. That one appears not to have the suede on the side.

And less white.

Yes, if this were the version they are selling all over the Internet, then I would buy a pair right now. Unfortunately, I can't find any retailer who carries this version. I like the MLB logo better than the RBK on the metatarsal guard, and I like the Reebok logo in the back. I don't care if it looks like a NASCAR car or not, as long as they get rid of the suede uppers and make it all leather like this one.

Does anyone know who is carrying this version at this time?

Good question, Steve. My buddy in southern CA. says he's seen it, but I can't find out from him where.

That's because it's +POS. Can it be any other way when that name is involved? :p

I'm glad the reviewer agreed with what I said when I got my pair at the beginning of the season. The Reeboks are far more comfortable than the NB's.

They're not available yet, but will be for next season. The picture he used on his blog is a pair that Reebok sent him for review. Also, I just got a catalogue from Honigs that has a picture of the base version on the back cover, and it says that the base shoe will be available in an all black version as well. Hopefully they will do the same for the plate version at some point in time.

I switched from the NB to the Reebok this year, and feel the same way. I also like the nubs on the bottom. They feel more stable when locking in, and definitely give you more traction when you have to bust out.
