The only part of professional baseball that hasnt been screwed up in some way is the umpires. You dont see the umpires threatening to go on strike even though they probably deserve more money. Im proud to be an umpire because of the fact that politics and money havent had an effect on them. I feel and so should any umpire at any level that its a special and important job no matter what the people around us think or do.
