Should be fun to hear Bruce talk about umpire nutrition on the road 6 month a year!!!!

Why? Bruce is a very nice man. What's with the animosity toward him? He certainly has forgotten more about umpiring than most of us know, and he is definitely more interesting to listen to than the boorish Costas.

Boorish? You've got to be joking. I suppose that you don't like his politics, but the man is far from a boor.

I find him arrogant, pretentious and obnoxious. Okay, then...he's not a boor . Couldn't care less about his politics. I dislike Bryant Gumbel for the same reasons. They are two peas in a pod. I can't even stand Costas on the U.S Open coverage today. Froemming, on the other hand, would have many interesting umpire stories, which is what I like to hear, not someone trumpeting himself as Costas subliminally does.

Thanks for the info I'll definitely DVR it.

But Costas usually turns it into the "Bob" show, and I want to hear from umpires. I don't want to listen to general sports knowledge.

Don't let the folks in St. Louis know, but Don Denkinger is going to be on the program along with Palermo and Froemming.

I guess that means all of Kansas City will be tuning in.

I've got my DVR set; I'll be at work and we don't get MLB Network here.

I did a wood bat summer league game last night where Jack Clark and Danny Cox were coaches. My partner asked if before the game at the home plate meeting he should introduce himself as "Don Denkinger, Jr". I said "Not a good idea..." Not even in fun.

Then it might have become a 'wooden bat in the the head' league....

my.02

really glad to hear this.....been hoping they would get around to doing something on umpiring....but figured it would be some filler for the november to February time when there was no active baseball....

Love to see a regular series on life on the road for MLB and MiLB as well.....
