I found it interesting how he said he was very polite and official with the umpires and his coaches mainly due to his mother (who it turns out was raised in my home state of NC). I have always had this tendancy and most true North Carolinians are this way. I have dropped some of the formality as I have gotten older but when I am addressing a coach while in the company of his players, I always address him as Coach ......... and not by his first name. I am sure NC is not the only place this happens but I found the correlation interesting...
