Might as well just wear a fire helmet with that type of shield, and an air mask to cover your face.

I do not think that I could work with a partner if he were wearing one of these! I would be too worried that my light saber would malfunction!

You can get a prescription for that now. If you get it on the internet from Canada, you don't need a prescription.

I wonder if the shield/visor is replaceable. A good foul crushing the plastic shield against the cage could crack or break it.

I wonder how long it will be before I see someone on the field with it.

I'll bet that catchers will wear it soon. It's polycarbonate, like a motorcycle windshield, which won't even crack from a rock or other debris at high speed. So I doubt that a deflected baseball would crack it. It would get scratched, perhaps, but it's essentially shatterproof, and I'm sure it's replaceable.
