Orioles vs Chisox 4-28 susp game today

I am watching with Lil' Joe....The Orioles anouncer said that the HP umpire said they would have called the game long before the 11th inning but, he forgot the suspended game rule and thought the game would be washed out and replayed.

HOW could a Major League Umpire not know the Suspended game rule? (Jeff Kellogg)

Interesting tidbit: Chisox are the home team in Baltimore

Joe In Missouri

Either that or he failed to remember. Rumor has it that Jeff Kellogg does know the infield fly rule.

Seems like the managers or one of the players would have reminded or questioned Jeff anyway. They seem to remind or question the umps on most anything and everything else.

So you believe what an announcer said? I suppose from time to time I forget that they are all-knowning.

I don't trust them to tell me about the rules book. However, he was quoting Kellogg...So, yes, I do trust that.
