NCAA's Yeast Resigns
Sigh... Just when things are going great for a group of guys, their leader resigns. The king is dead - long live the king! Don't know who will apply for the job, but he'll be hard pressed to match what Dave has done over the years he's held the reins.
He plans to go back to umpiring, with another trip to the CWS as his goal. At least he's got a great goal - and a LOT of umpiring friends. JJ |
Yep, a sad day. Maybe the powers that be will get the wake up call!!!!!!

Are you fu---ing kidding me.... That man is a scab to the bone....

I know lots of MEN who will now continue umpiring in the NCAA because that man is gone.. I can't respect this man who stomped all over fellow umpires back especially when all these men were doing was trying to improve there lives.
I wonder how it is to walk of the field with that man.... you have to have the thought in your mind.... well I know this guy doesn't have my back.... You can't trust a scab not now or ever those who he hurt will never forget I know I won't |
That's the problem when you choose...... and I mean CHOOSE to scab everything good you do is covered up buy the fact that you don't care.... I'm sure Hitler did some good things too but I just can't get over the fact that he tried to wipe out an entire race of people....
Have a nice life Dave and Thanks for playing..... A SCAB is a scab 1st and everything else (good or bad)2nd.... |

Scabism aside,
Did he elevate the working conditions of NCAA umpires? He was fired because he wants to work games again. |

That\'s my point.... No scab will ever be mentioned for anything good without being everyone mentioning ya but he\'s a scab...
Scabbing leaves a scar for life... He could invent the cure for AIDS and still people would say, "Wow that great, but he was a scab." I hope that man finds it real hard to umpire... We have to be professional on the field if I\'m forced to work with him I will and on the field no one would know the difference... But off the field, where it really counts, where bonds and friendships are made for life that man is not invited. |

D-1 umpiring was improved drastically under Yeast\'s time. Umpiring conditions and support also improved. He did what he was hired to do. We owe him plenty. He will be welcome on any college field. Any former MiLB umpires who wish to succeed on the college field would be well advised to leave their minor league issues on the minor league field. |
