No. I prefer a time when people are not classified by their ethnic background and racial and cultural slurs are not so ordinary that they are not noticed. I'm happy to not be living in the 50's.

I can't help it if you're blind to how this country has been segregated worse now than it has been in years. Gone are the days when we were all Americans. Instead, Garth's approved society sees every person grouped into one class or another primarily because of this politically correct BS where one cannot say "black" or "Oriental" or any other perfectly acceptable term.

Nope. Run your comments by Garth and the usual fanatics of the P.C. Police for prior approval. This is what makes us less free and more divided. How ironic on this, the 231st birthday of our great country.

Garth, I apologize. Please remove me from your "I" list. :D

I don't pay any attention to the terminologists like Garth,, it's a power game they want to set their rules for. In their mind's eye, they get to select the terms, "we" have to subscribe.

:D Don't think so. Words typed are not much of anything, it's what you actually do and who you truly are that is the tale of the day.

I do have to admit to getting hyooge chuckles out of those on this forum, or any place of speech, who see their reputations directly tied to their written word..

If I go east of Europe, I find...USA. And China. And your house.

Consider it an honor, fitump. It's an accepted axiom in speech & debate that when one has no foundation on which to base his arguments or cannot justify his arguments, he traditionally either tells people to shut up or dismisses them altogether.

Such is a common trait of the closed-minded.

And now...back to the topic at hand. Just what WAS this thread about? :D

On Topic, Who cares how MLB does it? Breaking a rule is breaking a rule. And Nomo never completely paused for a lengthy amount of time, his motion just slowed considerably.
Bzzzt, incorrect. I saw him stop with only his hands moving, several times, complete body freeze. I thought this was interesting, no call. Being in Milwaukee on the invite of a former college teammate, the HC at that time, I walked down the ramps, past security, to join up with my friend. Here comes the crew. Knowing that they had no idea who I was, I introduced myself including as an umpire. Bell PU, HIrschbeck, Froemming, ???. They didn't want to talk so "OK", never got to hear why no balk. :(

I\'m glad to see you ask this: you seem to be a much better umpire than debater.

For those of us who\'ve made known who we are and where we\'re from our written word is directly tied to our reputation.

Tim.
