Base trousers

Anybody gotta line on some COMFORTABLE base slacks? Sick of the Kevlar-waist Fechheimer hot pants.

Thanks in advance.

Ace

Base Pants

"Between the Lines" at www.btlofficialsgear.com has Sansabelt Pleated Base Pants for $46.90 and Plain Front Base Pants for $44.90. If you want them to alter the inseam, they charge an additional $10.

You can get an additional 7.5% discount from them if you're listed as a member of the WBUA. You can register there for free at www.wbua.org.

Don't laugh. I just got a note from an umpire prospect in response to a note I sent where we require Black shirts for a particular tournament. He wanted to know if a regular black polo shirt would be OK, because he doesn't have a black-colored umpire shirt.

As for pants, I bet you can get some inexpensive heather gray dress ones from your local St. Vincent de Paul or Salvation Army store. They have their 25-cent sales every now and then.

Do they also wear their hats backward on the plate, wear white sox, and put their shin guards on the outside of their pants. An entire association of Smitties............

Ace,

I wear the Honigs PBS1 Premium Poly-Wool Base Slacks. Very comfortable. Love them.

http://www.honigs.com/detail.asp?Cat=2&Sub=41&Item=765

I just got my Poly-Wool Plate Slacks today too...

DG, of course I can't officially respond for Bob, but just guessing, choice of pant colour would depend on what his partner's wearing...if they're heather grey, wear heather grey, if they're darker, go darker...but as stated, just a hunch...

Heather is required (here) for HS.

Either can be used for other games (College, summer, etc).
