Buying first pair of plate shoes

Couple of questions:

I purchased a pair of NB plate, in my size... 10.5.

If they feel snug at initial try on, are they likely to stretch out, or should there be no snugness at initial try on?

These are a little snug all around, particularly in the hard toe area on one foot.

The shoe would have to loosen up all around to allow my toe to move sligltly to the back of the shoe.

So the question is how likely are these type of shoes to stretch out a little?

The NB shoe has a tight toe box. I initially got a pair of 9 1/2EE and they were great in every way except the width of the toe box. Then I got a pair of 10 EE and the toe box is better but still tight.

I'm going to take mine to a shoe repair place in the hopes they can stretch out the toe box a little. However, I wouldn't recommend the NB plate shoes to anyone who has a wide foot on the top.

Other than that they are great shoes.

Did you try a EEEE width?

And where to send those that do not fit.

Nope, I figured going up a half size would do the trick. They are actually better and still more comfortable than any other plate shoe I've ever had.

I didn't know you could get them that wide.
