what is the difference, if any, between a glove and a mitt? Are there any rules that address this? I was reading one of my mags and it had an article about this for softball and it got me to thinking (never a good thing).

Hey all,

Think the difference between gloves and mittens. Gloves have fingers, Mitttens don't. Hence fielder's glove, catcher's mitt, first baseman's mitt.
