I have six children, the youngest is now 24. Four of the six were involved in baseball or softball so it has always been a part of our family life.
My wife LOVES baseball and understands my passion for the game. She enjoys coming out to watch me umpire, but what about the wives who either don't like baseball, don't understand it or hate sports period? How do you guys deal with that? Many of you must have that problem. Buster |

I've told people that ask me about umpiring that I umpire because they don't yell at me as loud or as often as my wife does..........LOL
Seriously though, she's NOT a baseball fan. Frictions occur but they are usually based on the number of games I elect to accept, and that is controllable. With my kids grown, my wife uses that time to do what SHE wants to do. When I said "I do" I agreed to share my life, not give it away. Baseball always has been and always will be a major enjoyment in my life. Just my opinion, Freix |

I take on maybe 250+ games annually. I guess I get to do what I like, and wifey gets to do what she likes..........gamble. My baseball can help cover her expense...... ......and that can help in minimizing the arguments........LOL Freix |

My wife has always said as long as she gets half the money, carry on. I have to leave the better car when I travel though, and at times this has caused small embarrassments[] because of cars age. It involved a toll truck three weeks ago. Told her I was forced to use her share of the profits. s glen
