Strikeout and either an E2 or E1 depending on wild pitch or passed ball.

Neither a passed ball or wild pitch are scored as errors.

OBR RULE 10.14 ". (f) Because the pitcher and catcher handle the ball much more than other fielders, certain misplays on pitched balls are defined in Rule 10.15 as wild pitches and passed balls. No error shall be charged when a wild pitch or passed ball is scored."

Score a strikeout and a wild pitch (10.14(f)(1)(i)) or score a strikeout and a passed ball (10.14(f)(1)(ii)), whichever is appropriate. No error is charged.

Score the strike out swinging or looking.

If the runner reaches you score it either a WP or and PB.

There are then numerous situations that will come to mind ... scoring a "catcher blocks the ball and throws wild to first" is quite different then a pitch that is wild and goes to the screen, but was offered at (-: hopefully not a called strike :-) Do not charge an error on either the pitch or the catcher's fielding of the pitch.

It is possible to charge an error to the catcher on the throw, or to the fielder at first on the reception of the throw.

If the runner is thrown out, credit the out and assist as normal.

If it's a wild pitch, it's an earned run. If it's a passed ball, no.
