For those who voice objections to "odd stuff" being posted here - questioning whether these situations ever occur, so "why take up board time?" with them...

Anyone watching the Mets-Phillies game on Labor Day? Pitchers running into batter-runners on their way to first base. First basemen breaking in with a runner on first base, then being thrown the ball on a pickoff from the pitcher. "Odd stuff" that certainly needs to be ruled on quickly and correctly! These are situations that we don't see frequently, but we sure come out of them smelling like a rose if we do the right thing. And how do we learn about them? We see them on tv, or someone has them happen in a game and they post here for all to think about.

Keep that "odd stuff" coming!
