any quick bruise remedies?
my buddy at the local boys & girls club asked me to do this 12&U game today, saying "all i wear is my mask". ive done other leagues this level where i've decided after the game that i could have done without. nothing came close to hitting me until the 2nd to last pitch. (from the kid that mentioned before the game that his fastball was 75mph). right above the knee cap. very pretty color purple & green, best part is the thread marks.
anybody know of a quick remedy for the stiffness and swelling?

oh the pain, the pain of it all
oh, I forgot about the obviously mind-numbing pain of ANY ball taken to the cup, or lack thereof. think the catcher is gonna be there to block those balls for ya? good luck with that, I got high school-ers that can't block anything if it's not right at their glove

Ice will only help with swelling and pain. To assist with the dissepation of the discoloration (which is what I believe you originally asked) then a warm compress is what you want. Do this after the pain and swelling have subsided. Just like ice though, make sure you put something between your skin and the compress.
