Don't do it!
One of my fellow umpires took a foul ball in the center of his +Pos and
the center cross bar compressed and broke his nose. He reported it to Honig's and they sent a free replacement. NOT LIGHTWEIGHT. Minor league umpires in the Southern league received a letter from their league telling them NOT to use the composit masks. We were told that there are two suits pending. These masks are apparently all made by All Star from what I understand. Buster

or call 800-468-3284 Honigs. I have used one since they first came out and no problems. Just replaced the pads. Get the sun visor with it. Great for sunlight or nite lite glare

I also have one and have had no problem. The only complaint is smaller field of vision. I wear a 8 seam under it so I don't need the visor.
If you don't mind used go to umpire.org and check out the swap shop section of the baseball board. A lot of guys are going to the WV mask which gives you better vision but I don't like it. A friend of mine bought one at the beginning of the season and has already bent it. My SUL is five years old and is doing fine. It needs pads but that's it. |

Not much advise here on the mask. I have a WV and love it. By the way, I have a brand new pair of Honig's pleated base pants for sale. Waist size 38, Inseam 30. You see, I got a big old butt and they are a little too tight for me. I paid $43.95. They have never been worn. Just tried on. Asking $30 for them. I'll pay shipping to you. Contact me at [email protected] if you are interested.
