Yes...

But, like a finely aged wine it's quality that counts, not quantity.

Reminds me of the story of the old bull and the young bull looking down the hillside................

Don't forget

GLM = Good Looking Mom

I always thought AA meant Alleged Adult. As UIC of an AA softball league I feel this is a more appropriate meaning.

greymule Thu Mar 16, 2006 03:16pm

I think you're right. Alleged adult, not almost adult.

I've long held that 40-and-over slow pitch should specify that the term denotes physical age.

It's not my ruuning time to 1ast base then ?

There's got to be a way to simplify this positioning for novice umpires. :( I've been doing this a while and had to reread it a couple times. Probably just me though

I can find MILFs at most every one of my games - even the semi-pro weekend warrior/BenGay fests. I suspect that says more about my age than I care to admit. The young ones have it so easy.

We were always taught to use an imaginary line between home plate and the edge of the mound, midway or a bit more toward second base between the back of the mound and second base. If for some reason a mound is unusually large or small in diameter, adjust accordingly.

(Sal, it's probably easier to describe on a diagram!)

From this postion, on a steal of second, I take a drop step back and toward second base with my right foot, open up to the throw, let the ball turn me into the play, and end up inside the cut in really good position.

Thanks SDS but with all due respect, this isn't my first rodeo. ;) I was refering to TAC's "wordy" definition of the B position.

SanDiegoSteve Thu Mar 16, 2006 08:39pm

I know Sal. I got that. I was just trying to come up with a better way of saying it, but realized it was just as wordy as Tee's version. That's why I suggested a diagram was more appropriate to teach newer officials. I added the last part for their benefit.

I wasn't trying to teach you anything. I'm well aware of who you are.

I'm just bustin' your ba!!s bud ;) It's all good brotha

This one seems to have been left out.

IIITBTSB - it is impossible to balk to second base.

No but you may find more BB (baseball bunnies aka MILFs in training) than Mosquitos.
