Whatever the Major League Umpires wear is irrelevant.

Example; At one time the MiLB umpires wore Olive Green Pants. I do not know of any HS association that adopted that color.

My response as most responses deals mainly with the amateur game as that is what most if not all of us do.

I am a NY State Certified HS Umpire and if you want to work you have to wear the Uniform that is accepted and +POS is NOT accepted at least not in the NY State Association. Other States may have different rules and that was my point.

Before purchasing any umpire clothing/accessories, check with one's association to see what is acceptable or not.

What does that have to do with anything? How is the brand of pants used in MiLB irrelevant?

Yes +POS provides the MiLB uniforms.

We are required to wear the Fechheimer Grey. The +POS are a different color grey.

I know you asked how the pants are meaning are they comfortable but I just wanted to make a note that +POS Pants are not Fechheimer which from my experience most associations require. The +POS pants are primarily prevalent in LL umpires or other similar Youth Organizations...

Where are you getting this info Pete? The Fechheimer lists their pants as "Heather Gray". +POS lists their pants as "Heather Gray". Also, how do you consider +POS pants to be "Little League" pants?

The +POS pants I have match exactly the color of the Cliff Keen pants I have, to the point that you cannot tell them apart without looking at the label sewn into the waistband. As I mentioned in my previous post, looking at these side-by-side to compare the material, stitching and labeling leads me to believe that they are all made in the same factory.

The Fechheimer pants I have are maybe just a hint darker than the +POS & CK. They are so close that you have to hold them up against each other to tell them apart and even then it's hard.

All are advertised as being "heather grey".

Minor league umpires use +POS pants. Says so right on the label. I'm not getting the LL reference.

they sur do. what's the big deal, hether gey is heather grey, pants fade, pants are slightly diffrent in color, who cares except a bunch of control freak umpire heads who haven't got anything bettr to do that..be control freaks.

You probably wonder why people bother shining their shoes. I mean, they get dusty 30 seconds after taking the field -- why bother?
