Right back at ya Bruce! Tell all the guys and gals in the NFUA good luck next month at the Cocoa Expo for me.

To all of my umpire friends living in cold weather climates, here's hoping the L-Triptophan in your turkey's bring you sweet dreams of spring baseball!

Tim.

Is this any better?

Tim.:

I'm going to track down whoever "taught" you to post graphics in your messages and beat him f@#&ing senseless.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Tim.:

I put "taught" in quotes because besides over-doing a "good thing", less than half of your images come through on my computer screen.

The first "image" in this thread comes through only as "this image hosted by Tripod" and there is no image.

Garth,

I've no idea why you wouldn't be able to see the first image. I'll make certain to try and only put images of 700 pixel or less in my post's the next time I do post one.

It shows up on my screen just fine. It's a picture of a turkey preparing to carve up a Pilgrim. I thought it might be appropriate for the occasion.

BTW- What other images have I posted that you felt were excessive?

Tim.

Now that you asked . . .

. . . almost all of them.

If a pix isn't illustrating equipment or a play it is unnecessary or it makes the site resemble a Little League site.

I agree -- they also make the pages load more slowly -- especially when I read this site from a dial-up location.

I agree completely:

I hope that everyone is having a better Thanksgiving than the freaking Lions are.

I posted a picture of the "UMPS" chest protector. I posted a picture of the Doug Eddings play, I posted an animated gif. file of an umpire slinging a player to the ground, and today, I posted these two pictures for a little levity.

The latter two had nothing to do with baseball, but the former three most certainly did.

If you're so anal that you can't recognize that a little levity during the holiday season is a good thing, I really do feel sorry for you.

Tim.

Well, as grampa Appleton used to say, "if you don't want to hear an answer, don't ask the question."

Thanksgiving is a holiday invented so we can eat turkey and watch football all day, and weekend, long.
