No one on Baker bats out of turn & grounds out, & the defensive team appeals. What is the call?
Same situation & Baker singels.

6.07 Play 2 OBR:
Baker bats and doubles. The defensive team appeals (a) immediately or (b) after a pitch to Charles. RULING: (a) Able is called out and Baker is proper batter; (b) Baker stays on second and Charles is proper batter.

A managerial decision can be made to appeal, or not, to take advantage of the batting order mistake. The Defense may choose to ignore if Baker makes an out, as opposed to allowing him to bat again.
