The September 26th issue of Sports Illustrated has a small article about the filming of a movie called "Off the Black". Nick Nolte is said to play a high school umpire. The item is in the "The Beat" column on page 36
The article states Nolte spent some time with a minor league director of baseball operations learning how umpires are expected to handle them selves.....anyone heard anything about this? Stan |
