Chuck Meriwether got hit in the arm in the Braves/Reds game tonight. He came out of the game and Tim Timmons took over behind the plate. They said x-rays were negative.

More uneeded information probably, but just FYI.

Thats too bad,He's a really good ump. Probably could have done without, but its alright because i didnt know that. Troy Fullwood will more then likely get the call since Adam Dowdy is filling in for Joe Brinkman.

broken bat

It was a broken bat that hit him, not a ball. I'm just glad he didn't get speared with the damn thing.

Isn't there a word for a phrase that is an example of itself? Like when one person is talking about the political landscape of Washington and the other says, "What is a non-sequitur?" Can't remember the damn word.

This thread is a WOBw. As was your post. As was mine.

WOBW!!

I've got to totally agree with T, LMan, ....

Although I have a great time umpiring, and want to continue to do it for as long as I am able, I really don't care if Davis has shifted his stance, McClelland is back to one knee, or what Kellogg is doing on his way to the airport. The way things are going, the next thing that will be posted is that Snap, Crackle, & Pop will be officiating game one of the WS!!

Some people need to get a life. And if you are offended by this, sorry.

P.S. Mcrowder, see I've been using that link that you posted. Might still need to work on it some though.

If Snap, Crackle, and Pop were umpiring the WS, someone would post it. It's not like anyone is making things up and posted here. If you don't care, don't read it.

Alas,

It is just sad that the ninth grade mentality has taken over what was already a struggling board.

I thought with LL ending we could get serious.

My Bad!
