I never saw the point to get down in the mud with a coach.

Last week I had one that refused to change pitchers on his 2nd trip to the mound (within 5 pitches) becuase "He wasn't told it was a trip therefore it didn't count".

But when a coach tells me to learn the rulebook after saying something that is completely wrong I fell just to give them a little lip back.
a cop told me once to learn the rules of the road, and i felt that he was wrong and i didnt run that red light, so i told him he was a total jackass and that he looked stupid with that hat on.

Brian,

How much did you have to pay for the ticket he then wrote you?

My first year on the force I still had braces on my teeth. I had stopped a guy for doing 36 in a 25. As was customary I was going to write him up for doing 31. He laughed at my braces.

He got a ticket for the full 36 plus a broken tail light.

He11, I'll bite:
Did you have to eject the pitcher who needed replacing, or was launching the coach sufficient to "git'er done"?

After I insisted it was 2 visits and he HAD to do it he changed pitchers.

Given the ages of the players I didn't send him to the parking lot although a second NO and he would have been gone.

On the other hand he did insist on protesting. Not sure if he ever followed up on that and paid in the 50$ protest fee.

If a coach told me he did not have to change pitchers because he was not told his first trip was a trip, I would tell him he has two choices, change the pitcher or be tossed, and his assistant can change pitchers.
