In a situation like this, I would not throw them out but say something along the lines of "Coach sit down (or shut up as the case may be if he is sitting down), I am the umpire and I will decide were its best to call a play from"

I usually don't have to eject people so long as I make it clear early on i don't take any crap. And usually if i said that to a coach he would either get ejected earlier rather than later or he realize he better shut up because he isn't running the show I am.

You seem a little power happy Drumbum. As an umpire, you do hav the authority, but earn some respect and don't be a "power happy" umpire that all teams and coaches hate. That's a bad idea

oh the irony. This is too good to be true :D

Drumbum,

When a coach gets out of line next time, just pull out your little red flag and throw it for the infraction!!

As umpires, we are the only ones in the world expected to be perfect on our first day on the job, and improve from there.

Dumbum......
Do you put the coach "on the bubble"
when you tell him to "sit down and shut up"?

Sounds like too many umpires wanting to be noticed.

A good game is when nobody notices that your there, drawing attention to yourself with theatrics, colorful comments and forceful ejection just shows you are not in control of the game, you are trying to rule it.

Umpires are there for one reason to make sure the game is played within the rules. Looks, to me, as if some people need to have a long hard look at there motivation for umpiring.
