What are the major differences from Fed ball?

I know there are more from reading the board, but the guy that gave me the game told me it was pretty much just the slide (malicios contact) rule. I want to make sure that I do it as right as I possibly can.

Tee mentioned in an earlier thread about where a ball lands and then rolls foul. If I remember that discussion correctly, if the ball passes the mound it is now fair in OBR even if it were to roll back into foul territory between 1st or 3rd and home I think.

As listed on pg 69 of the 2005 NFHS Rule book, there are shown, 20 differences. I'm not sure if this is totaly accurate however, it is a good place to start.

For eg: I know there are other pitching restrictions that are called in Fed., that are not illegal pitches or balks in OBR.

This is where a copy of BRD is extremely usefull.

There are probably too many for a complete discussion on this board.

Well,

We could start with the difference in obstruction:
or, Re-entry,

or, jewelry

It goes on.

Why do you mention "malicious contact" parenthetically when you refer to the Slide Rule? Do you mean the Force Play Slide Rule? This is not the same in FED as malicious conctact.

As Tee mentions there are numerous differences. From balks to bench jockeying to obstruction to jewelry to re-entry to designated hitter to many other areas, there are differences in the rules.

Buy a rule book. They're fairly cheap. You might be able to get a deal on an unopened "used" one from a coach.
