Calm down here! You can buy the dang thing for $24.95, brand spanking new. That has got to be less than one game fee. And if you were really interested in improving and doing higher paying and better games, this cost would be trivial. And better yet, IT's tax deductible. Hey, don't kill a guy for trying to make a buck. But why wouldn't you want to be up to date on the rules. One of Carl's recommendations in his book "50 More Ways to Ruin a Baseball Game" is "Fail to keep up with authoriitative opinion". He states, "Learning the rules is not enough. You have to keep up with the changes, official or unofficial; ruination is just around the corner." In actuallity, I wouldn't sell my 1994, 96, 98, 2000, 01, 02 03 04 or 05 editions. Or even some of the other 25 other books I have on rules, mechanics and baseball officiating, because they are much more valuable than what I paid for them. But, then again, EVERYTHING, IS NEGOTIABLE. Good Luck. |
