IMHO, you're wrong. Since this coach yelled to F4 "Did you tag him?" after discussing the play, he is not directing his comment to his second baseman. He is actually attempting to show brumey1107 up.

If he yelled this question before the discussion, then I would tend to believe that this coach is just clueless.

well, by this standard every coach who asks his catcher, "where was that pitch?" should be tossed.

LMan,

If a coach came out to you and discussed your call of ball or strike on a pitch, what would you do? I suggest that you read OBR 9.02(a) for further guidance.

Chirping from the bench, however, rates a different response.

Coach charging out of the dugout without calling time is going to have a lot shorter leash than one who calls time and approaches calmly.
