Since there were two strikes, the umpires obviously needed some help. Batter is out and the R1 is out since I'm sure that PU would assume with no interference he would have been thrown out.

There is no need for a rulebook on the field EVER.

If they want to protest, then let a protest committee meet and decide.

If its FED then most states don't allow protests anyway.
