Can we please clear this up. In NCAA ball does the count of free trips to the mound start over with every new pitcher. Is this the same or different in FED or OBR. Looking for a clear concise answer. This has been a confusing issue at local meetings.
Thanks in advance. |

Quote:
NCAA: 3 free per game; max of 1 free per inning per pitcher FED: 3 free per game; could take all on same pitcher OBR: 1 free per inning per pitcher; no limit per game (Of course, this assumes a regulation game -- no extra innings) |

3 per GAME -- if it were 3 per pitcher I would have said so (or would have been corrected). |

JJ, Free trips DO reset in OBR. The visit rule 8.06(b) is visits to the SAME pitcher, not ANY pitcher, in the SAME inning. Each new pitcher in an inning gets a free trip.
BTW in LL, removal is on the third visit in the inning or 4th in the game. New pitcher resets the visit count.
