With runner on 3rd, ball gets past catcher and goes to the backstop. Runner from 3rd breaks toward the plate. Pitcher comes in to cover. Catcher retrieves the ball and throws toward the pitcher. The throw hits the batter who is still standing in the batters box. What is the ruling?

The batter had a chance to move. He didn't. Interference.

With less than 2 out... runner is out.
With two outs ... batter is out.
