Whenever I watch college baseball umpires I'm always impressed how they breakup the conference on them mound.
They always walk all the way up the mound and stand in the same circle that the players and coach have formed. They're closer to the group than some of the participants. I've always wondered what they say when they get there. Care to share your "crap or get off the pot" line? |

I worked a HS game with a guy that does the Otters games here in Evansville and he just cleaned the plate and said, "All right men, let's go to work!", seemed to do the trick every time. Think I'll use it.

I work that league (Frontier League) but I have not been down to Evansville - although I've had them on the road. That's a pretty big jump to do HS baseball and then work minor league (independent) baseball in the summer.

Sorry, didn't mean to make it sound like he just did HS ball, I just happened to work with him. His brother works the league too, Fetcher (sp?) is the last name.
