Cool

Hi everyone,
I am new to this forum & I really appreciate all the helpful responses to my questions.
I am a LL umpire 11 & 12 in South Fla. & really like the challenge, & like seing the improvment I am making with experience, reading, & forums like this.Any advice to going to the next level? My goal would be to do High School, & College games.
Meanwhile can you men in blue(and women) help me with this one.
R1 on 1st is stealing & catchers throw hits B1 bat.
What is the ruling?
Thanks again. Hope I can answer your questions too.

On March 1 Rog posted a similar question on getting started. Go back there and check out my response.

As to the catcher's throw hitting the batter's bat - unless the batter stuck his bat out there intentionally to create interference, it's merely a bad throw, and stays live and in play unless it rolls into dead ball territory or lodges in someone's gear.

Have fun - it's a great game to officiate!!
