The answer to the problem might be found in your response to a question in another thread.
Yes the combo pants work pretty well. I've only bought from Honig's and have no complaints what-so-ever. As for the shirts, the same, I buy from Honig's and I believe they are universal. I wear them both and haven't had a problem with them. By the way, my first game is tomorrow!!! You wear combo pants. I would bet that wearing true plate pants would solve the problem. |

It's a common problem, and has nothing to do with whether you're wearing combo or non-combo pants. (Hint to others - he said the TOP of his shinguards). You just have to get in the habit of giving them a little tug as you come out of your crouch.

Pants for the cheap skate (like me): The brad that Wal-mart stocks! $15, slide easily over shin guards, and you'll get the same number of games out of them as you will the pants you order from umpiring specialty stores. They are already hemmed, too!

I have never seen pants at Wal-mart that were
truly heather-gray. They're all too light in color. My wife wanted to buy me a pair, but I turned them down,as I would prefer to match my partner as closely as possible.
