Thumbs up Just Peachy

Thanks for asking Roger....

I'm about 260 miles east of the epicenter. We are told that it still registered 3.0 in Spokane.

Unlike the explosive type of earthquakes I experienced in California, this was a "roller". I was working on some email and noticed my monitor moving. When I looked up and out the window I could see and feel my house rocking back and forth, north to south.

I started counting and hit 20 before it started to fade. It was surprisingly long compared to the Cal quakes I experienced.

Seattle, Olympia and Tacoma took the brunt. They keep revising the magnitude...we've heard 6.2 7.0 6.8

Portland felt it pretty well, too.

The last earthquake to reach Spokane was October 29, 1983. It woke me and wife up, she went into labor and my first son was born.

17 and half years and one vasectomy later we didn't have the same kind of "after shock."

Thanks again for asking Rog.
