Never did that. However I was coaching a game these were 14 year olds. Bases juiced no outs. My batter hits a sceaming liner down the first base line. First baseman jumps for it hits off his glove falls to the ground two runs score everyone else is safe. Umpire says the first baseman drops it on purpose now no runs score and I got an out. Didn't get tossed from the game though.

Why? I would have been tossed faster than Paris Hilton on first date. I hate it when umpires coach and don't understand that ejections are and have always been part of the game. As an umpire, I recognize that a well timed ejection does more FOR the coach than against him. His team gets jacked and rallies. I've coached and played in games whee I've been tossed. You see...I know the seven deadly words!

We were on the Board of Directors of the league together I had to present a good example. We also had a few beers together after meetings

McCarver wanna-be

As poor as McCarver is, FOX has at least one other
just as bad.Cardinals v. Astros, not sure which game
it was. Batter strokes a liner over the head of Pujols,
who jumped and reached for the ball.Mitt flies into the
air.I couldn't tell if it were intentional.
Anyway,McCarver-wannabe(I don't know who it was),proceeds
to repeatedly claim that there is a two-base penalty
for merely throwing the mitt at the batted ball!!No
mention of the necessity to actually make contact with
the ball,or that it would have to be judged as intentional,
or that OBR 7.05 states: Each runner, including the batter
may, without liability to be put out, advance_ c: three bases if a fielder deliberately throws his glove at AND touches a fair ball.

McCarver continues to prove that he remains one of the major horses asses on the Planet.

How dare you insult the two horses that my wife has owned over the last 35 years by calling Tim McCarver a horse's ***.
