I was looking at a few pictures of umpires back a few years ago when they wore the cream shirts. In some of the pictures, you can clearly see that they are wearing the sage gray pants, but in others it appeared as if they were cream colored pants. I have not seen these pants anywhere, but would like to get a pair as they look quite good with the cream shirts.

You can see what pictures i'm looking at by going to MLB.com's umpire section and clicking on the profiles of Daryl Cousins (who is wearing the cream shirt and pants) and Jim Wolf (who is wearing the cream shirt and sage gray pants). Maybe I'm just seeing it wrong cause the picture is distorted but I'd like to know what you think.

Thanks,
John

You are confusing sage grey with cream. Cream is the color currently sold by Honig's and is an off white. The sage grey was the color adopted in 2001 postseason and worn through the 2003 season. The shirts in the MLB profiles are sage grey, not cream. Cream was briefly worn (as an alternate shirt to the black) in the MLB in 2000 and 2001 before the sage grey switch.

(http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/art/sports/mariners/gallery/game3/photos/photo05.jpg) This link shows Tim McClelland in the cream shirt during the 2000 playoffs.

The photos of Cousins and Wolf (among others) are wearing the sage grey uniform.

Honig's does offer the sage grey pants at a closeout.

If that link doesnt work, go to the honigs website, click under closeout & sale items, then click under baseball. Honig's does not offer a sage grey top.

OK, that's what I thought. I have the sage gray pants, but they don't look like the ones in the pictures, which is why I was confused. Probably somethign with the lighting. They do offer a sage gray top, but it comes with the Major League Baseball patch on the left pocket. Here is the link.

if the link doesn't work, just go to honigs.com and type in "mlb" in the search bar.
