USSSA question......

Does a foul tip and foul ball apply to softball the same as in baseball. Sitch....batter swings and nicks/tips the ball which goes directly back (with vary little arch) to catcher who catches it. Foul tip? Batter out?

Myth or Truth? The ball has to go above the batters head in order for it to be considered a foul ball.

Thanks!

Are you asking for the BB rule or asking what is the SB rule? If the latter, you are on the wrong division of this board.

In baseball the term is the ball must go sharp and direct to the catcher. I know that some softball rules are that the ball must not go over the batter's head. I think ASA ia changing their rule to sharp and direct for next year.
