I have an opportunity to acquire Davis patent leather High top shoes for $97. The just have minor defects from the factory on the sole so they cannot be sold as new (never before out of the box, much like X-out golf balls, minor cosmetic defects). I would prefer low top but at this nearly 30% discount for brand new shoes (actually even more because shipping will not be as much with who i'm going through) off of davis's site. Anyone have any comments as far as the comfort of the davis's, specifically the high tops (however, comments about the low tops would also be appreciated in case they come available). Thanks very much guys and I look forward to the responses.
