Patent Leather Base Shoes?

What do you think about patent leather base shoes? I'm not looking to buy some shoes, but are they sold anywhere? I guess if someone really wanted to buy some, they could get some basketball official's shoes. I figure if GD sells patent leather plate shoes, then it must be ok to wear patent leather base shoes.

I suppose there is nothing wrong with that, if you can find them. I personnally have not seen them, but, I would not be surprised if they were out there.

Got a new Honig's catalog in the mail today. On page 32 is a patent leather shoe, but it appears to be made for basketball.
