I was not on this field when this happen, but it is a classic. To know the coach makes it even more perfect. The coach came up to me after his adult son's softball game tonight and told me he lost 1-0 beacuse the Blue didn't call a runner out. I just said, oh well.

Now the story. This coach is coaching 3rd in 10 and under baseball. Bases loaded, his batter walks, he tells the guy on 3rd he can go on in. The runner promptly takes his helmet off and heads and enters the dugout. The coach goes balistic, slams his cap on the ground, then gives the kid grief which brings dad out of the stands and they have words.

Next day all met with rec director and the coach resigned his position. When will these guys understand these are little boyas and girls playing, and not the majors.

Sorry. That was in this coach's game tonight. The other team scored one run, blue said the runner slid under the tag, and was safe thus the 1-0 score.

So Blue not calling the runner out has nothing to do with the runner who did not go home to touch after a bases loaded walk. I think the 3B coach is an idiot to allow a runner on 3B to go to the dugout, instead of going to home. After all, the runner can still go home as long as he has not entered the dugout. That's a lot of time, and the 3B coach is next to runner making thie mistake.

Good he resigned. He is an idiot, and should not take this out on the players.
