Can anyone tell me the difference between the old K1 of several years ago and the new version they're selling now? I've got the chance to buy a nice used one, but I don't know what the differences in the old style and new style are....

I believe the newer ones are longer (cover more of your gut). Not sure of this... I bought mine several years ago and it is great. When I bought mine, I believe you could also a purchase an extension that 'velcroed' to the bottom. I didn't get that accessory.

Call Honigs; they will know.

danvers,
I'd get it.
I bought a College Elite (K5) several years ago. Dick Honig told me I should have gotten the K1 (1st year out, I think) because he thought it was "wonderful".
I took the lower grade, but I still think it's peachy!
I've never been marked by up to college/adult level pitches.
A K1 of the same vintage has to be better.

If you like it, buy it. Life is short.
