I was wondering if anyone confirm the ruling for me on this. Runners first and third. R1 runs 15 feet into the outfield on his lead. As long as he is not trying to elude the tag, is this legal?

Sorry I didn't catch those threads. Does that website give any examples, how that play might get exciting, or how it might become illegal?

Tim C,
I don't mean to be a pain in the ***, but Can you give me an example of a legal direction to return or advance to a base. I can't find the ruling.

Thanks Tim, I was able to find a thread from last year that cleared it up.

Where is the thread at, I can't find it? I've never heard of such a play but it sounds interesting.

I think that this was also known as "The Miami Play".

Yeah, it's a lot of fun trying to explain to the coaches that the runner establishes his own base line.
