Does anyone know how the 6-man MLB playoff umpire crews rotate assignments? (i.e. 4-man regular season crews rotate clockwise; how do the 2 line umpires play into this?)

Dakota,

During the playoffs, the rotation of umpires goes as follows, HP goes to the RF line, RF line to LF line, LF line to 3rd base, 3rd base to 2nd base, 2nd base to 1st base, and 1st base to HP for as long as the series goes.

So, some umpires will have the chance to work the plate during the series and some will not. But, that is how the rotation goes for a 6 man crew for the playoffs.

If you are wondering who the umpires are for the enitre playoffs except the World Series, go to http://www.worldumpires.com and you will find all of the division series crews, and the league championship crews as well.
