Cheeks joins the ranks of doublespeak

If you recall, this past Sunday, the Jailblazers (also known as the High Five) beat the Lakers when Rasheed "Cheech" Wallace hit a 3 with 4 seconds left. When he went to the bench for the L.A. timeout, all but three of his teammates turned their backs on him and sat down.

Today, The Oregonian newspaper quotes Blazer coach Maurice Cheeks as saying that they only did that because they realized the game was not over and they did not want to celebrate.

Yeah suuuuuuuure. Look - some pigs just flew past my window!
