Just got back from watching a varsity holiday invitational game in my area. Here's the situation that got me thinking:
A1 recieves pass in the post and goes up for the layup. B1 fouls A1 on the way up and the ball leaves A1's hands, coming up well short. As he hangs in the air, A1 is able to grab the ball and try again a second time. This one goes in and the calling official flushes the "and one". Is this correct? |

And where was his partner?
So he was the calling official, but his partner should have alerted him that he had a possible mistake.
I'm sure he was wondering why the coaches were so upset about the call also ... If I'm his partner I'm at least going to tell him what I saw and then let him make a more informed decision. Thanks David |
