The rule for a blind screen is that you must give the screened player a step. If you do that, whether they can change direction or avoid the screen is irrelevant. Also even if that does not happen, the contact still has to displace an opponent in some way. So they could make contact, but if neither player is displaced illegally, then it is not a foul.
