Maybe I've led a "charmed life"---
but in my 34 years of football officiating,
I've never had a team say they were going
to "take a knee" and not do it. It has only happened
at the end of a game. All officials pinch in to
try to keep any end of game frustration from
getting loose. I've never had any real problems in
those situations.
