If I were to bet, C hit his button as the clock starts running right after he turns down the court. The way he has to hold his arm, and it moves a lot, makes this very easy to hit the button accidentally.
I wonder how hard it would be or how effective it would be to build in a system where it requires 2-3 presses with the second being the actual trigger. With 4 possible sets of eyes it should work out to get at least 2 hits.
